Don Brown, President and Founder, has over thirty-five years of experience in the
employee benefits industry. Don recognized early on that in a “boutique” business
model, customer service it the way to building and maintain strong business relationships.
For Don, customer service is above all else.
Don has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & Economics from Indiana University of
Pennsylvania and attended Yale University MBA program. Don served as President of
HRA-NCA, the DC chapter of SHRM and chairman of the Property Management Association
Council. He has worked with client groups from 2 to 2000. Don has given presentations
on healthcare economics, ways for employers to save money on health insurance products
and the current health care legislation (PPACA) issues for employers.
Mary Osbourn-Reilly has over 30 years’ experience in Human Resources. Mary brings
to Don Brown Group Benefits value in the form of HR consulting services in addition
to her main objective of providing benefit plan design and client development. Mary
has held the most senior level HR position in several companies both privately held
and publically traded as well as profit and non-profit.
Mary holds three professional certifications SPHR, CCP, and CBP. She received her
Bachelor’s degree from The University of Maryland and an MBA from Marymount University.
Mary has volunteered her time serving on various committees for local chapters of
SHRM as well as other philanthropic and membership organizations including Anne
Arundel Women Giving Together and local chambers of commerce. Additionally Mary
has been called upon by SHRM to be a subject matter expert testifying before the
Congress of the United States.
Robert M. Trachman has been associated with Don Brown Group Benefits as an internal
consultant since 2010. He brings more than 20 years of healthcare sales, marketing
and product development experience, mostly with major insurance carriers to this
position. Rob has been a management leader with United Healthcare, Blue Cross and
Blue Shield and other insurance providers. Most recently, he managed a joint venture
health services organization that provided comprehensive claims data analytics,
as well as wellness and other biometric screening services nationwide.
At Don Brown Group Benefits, Rob provides his guidance in marketing and strategic
planning for the company. He works directly with Don and Mary to design benefit
solutions that help control the benefits cost curve and enhance the quality of health
and wellness outcomes.
Rob earned his B.A. degree from Rutgers University and his M.B.A. degree from the
George Washington University. He is a licensed life and health insurance professional
since 1991.
